Rush North Beach is a gently sloping sandy beach consisting of a large sandy dune area at the rear. The beach is bordered by Rush Harbour to the South and a steep rocky headland to the North. Rush North Beach is classified as achieving Excellent Water Quality in 2024 based on the assessment of bacteriological results for the period 2021 to 2024. Rush North Beach achieved an Good Water Quality rating in 2023 and Excellent Water Quality rating in 2022 and 2021. Annual water quality ratings are generally calculated using monitoring results over a four-year period and are assessed against stringent bacterial limits to protect bather health.
