The main access to the beach is via the Tower Bay car park in Portrane. Tower Bay Beach is located near Portrane on the Donabate Peninsula. At the northern end of the beach there is a small boathouse and behind it a Martello Tower, converted into a residential building. South of the beach there are considerable cliffs. About 4 kilometres east of the beach lies Lambay Island in the Irish Sea. Facilities include a car park and public toilets.
