It is a scenic quiet small sandy beach on the north eastern shore of the island of Inis Oirr in outer Galway Bay. It is popular among locals and is accessed by a local tar road. Locals often fish from the strand. It lies near the airstrip and light house. It is a 15 minute walk from the pier to the beach.
