Beach & coast Waterford

Checked July 2026

1km from Stadbally Village the Cove is almost hidden and well protected between two hills. The extensive sandy beach stretches a good distance from the sea into the interior. At low tide, you have to walk accordingly a fair bit, before one can dip your toes into the sea water. On one side of the bay, the river Tay runs gently through the sandy riverbed and flows into the sea. Shore Surface: Sandy/Pebbles/Grass. Paddling: Yes. Jumping Or Diving: No. Lifeguard During Summer: No. Family Friendly: Yes. Swim Buoys: No
