Popular small rocky and pebbly beach near Malahide town - and a lovely walk from Velvet Strand in Portmarnock. Best at High Tide, but swimmable other times. There are some permanent red buoys marking a 900m course, and little boat traffic. Prone to jellyfish in summer months though. As this is on the mouth of the Malade estuary there can be strong tides. Shore Surface: Sandy/Pebbles/Grass. Paddling: Yes. Jumping Or Diving: No. Lifeguard During Summer: No. Family Friendly: Yes. Swim Buoys: Yes
