Popular beach, with a paved hill to access it. This blue flag award-winning, south-facing beach lies at the northern end of the village of dunmore east. The sheltered cove is picture-postcard pretty, with its backdrop of whitewashed stone cottages and turquoise sea waters. The beach has clean, golden-red sand and is flanked by striking sandstone cliffs. The sheltered cove is popular with swimmers. There is a designated swimming area and lifeguards watch the beach every day during July and August and at weekends in June and September.
