Birr Outdoor Education and Training Centre

Birr Outdoor Education and Training Centre (OETC) opened in 1981 by Co Offaly VEC and has grown to an all year-round residential centre. We have three main facility locations Birr, Banagher and Cadamstown. We offer outdoor education courses to groups of people from all ages and sectors of the community. We provide outdoor adventurous activities, ecology courses, accommodation, meals, transport, specialist equipment, specialised activity training and outdoor instructor training courses. Birr OETC’s purpose is to promote and operate innovative outdoor educational experiences. We focus on the development of our guests; personal, social and physical wellbeing. Our friendly staff are key to sustaining Birr OETC’s reputation of quality and excellent service. Our guests are the core of our centre, we will operate in an ethical manner while meeting and exceeding their expectations. Birr OETC offers residential adventure courses throughout the whole year to groups of people from the ages 5 to 80 years old. We provide accommodation, meals, activities, specialist equipment, laundry facilities and activities.
